DETAILED BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS ARE SHOWN BELOW—BUT IT IS EASIER TO REMEMBER THAT THE BASIC TRUE NORTH’S PACKAGE IS A WATER TIGHT PACKAGE THAT INCLUDES EVERYTHING FOR THE HOUSE SHELL EXCEPT THE OUTSIDE PORCH AND THE INSIDE STAIRS...EVERYTHING ELSE IS PROVIDED FOR A WATER TIGHT HOME AND THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE INTERIOR WALLS STUDS.

1) LOG WALL PACKAGE:
All custom milled, double tongue and groove with exclusive patented dovetail or saddle notch corner, Eastern White pine timbers, 6" x 12", 8" x 12" or 10" x 12" logs. (12" x 12" logs available upon special request)

2) LOG WALL ACCESSORIES:
SILL GASKET: Closed cell waterproof foam gasket for foundation perimeter. SILL PLATE: 2" x 6", 8" or 10" cedar or pressure treated (and/or, if required) sill plate (in Canada only) for foundation perimeter. TOP LOG PLATES: 2" x 6" Spruce top log plates for wall to ceiling air/vapor barrier. SILL POLY: Black sill membrane for air/vapor barrier continuity at ceilings and openings. FLASHING: Pre-painted 28-gauge sill flashing for exterior sill plate perimeter. THROUGH BOLTS: Patented spring-loaded through bolt assemblies for exterior log walls as required. STEEL ALIGNMENT: High strength steel T-Bars and 3" channel for all exterior wall openings.

3) STAIN PACKAGE:
Climate controlled, factory applied primer coat to all logs at time of manufacture. (Factory applied)

4) STAIN PACKAGE - ON SITE:
Exterior/ interior stain coat and topcoat applied to logs and exterior pine areas on site. (optional)

5) WINDOWS/DOOR PACKAGE:
Wood thermal pane windows and insulated steel partially glazed entrance doors, custom True North heads, jamb extensions (build-outs), and jamb trim.

6) FIRST FLOOR FRAMING SYSTEM:
Jack posts, built-up wood beams, dimensional lumber floor joists, joist hangers, cross bridging, 3/4" spruce plywood tongue and groove sub-floor and sub-floor adhesive.

7) SECOND FLOOR FRAMING SYSTEM:
Jack posts, built-up wood beams, dimensional lumber floor joists, joist hangers, cross bridging, 3/4" tongue and groove sub-floor and sub-floor adhesive.

8) ROOF SYSTEM:
Pre-engineered and custom designed for maximum loading with cantilevered overhangs to allow for more ventilation and insulation space. All required trusses, dimensional lumber framing, ladder framing, dormer framing, bracing, hangers, 5/8" spruce plywood sheathing, 1x8 V-groove pine soffit materials, sub-fascia and 1x8 pine fascia material.

9) GABLE END FRAMING SYSTEM:
2" x 6" spruce rough framing, 7/16" oriented strand board sheathing, strapping, moisture barrier, 1x8 Pine rustic channel siding.

10) INTERIOR STUD WALL FRAMING:
2" x 4" and 2" x 6" SPF interior partition wall framing for first and second floors. All steel slide assemblies for framed wall to log wall connections and spikes for interior wall alignment.
11) ASPHALT SHINGLE ROOF SYSTEM:
20-year asphalt shingles, ice and water shield, valley flashing, end wall flashing, step
flashing, roof vents, soffit vents, and starter strip.

12) BEAMS/ PINE FLOOR SYSTEM:
Douglas Fir or Eastern White Pine beams on 4'0" centers complete with 2"x 8" tongue & (optional) groove pine flooring, and acoustical caulking.
